Wendell Newman, age 72 of Grethel, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 at his residence. He was born August 4, 1951 in Martin, Kentucky to the late Oscar & Mary Belle Hall Newman. He was the husband of Mary Ann Adkins Newman. He was a retired coal miner. Along with his wife he is survived by his Daughters: Susan (Gary) Kidd & Darema (Shawn) Tackett both of Grethel, Kentucky; Grandchildren: Brandi (Blake) Stewart, Brandon Kidd, Isabella Tackett & Eli Tackett; Great Grandchildren: Gatlin Stewart & Briley Stewart; Brother & Sisters: Carmel Newman of Lorain, Ohio, Eloise Chaffins of Lorain, Ohio & Patricia Hudson of Elyria, Ohio. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his Brothers & Sisters: Ronald Newman, Bufford Newman, R.H. Newman, Barbara Adams, Patsy Frasure & Beulah Hamilton. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Visitation will begin Monday, March 25, 2024 at 6pm at the church and will continue all day Tuesday, March 26, 2024

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Pilgrims Home Old Regular Baptist Church, Grethel, Kentucky with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating

Burial will follow at Newman-Kidd Cemetery, Grethel, Kentucky
