Pearlene VanHoose Stambaugh, age 95, of Paintsville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Mt. Manor of Paintsville.

Pearlene was born December 9, 1928 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Hurshel VanHoose and Blanche Daniel VanHoose. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Stambaugh, brothers, Paul Vencil VanHoose, Bobbie Gene VanHoose and Charles Kenneth VanHoose, and two sisters, JoAnn Burchett and Emma Clotene Conley.

She is survived by one son, William Paul Stambaugh of Belleville, Michigan; two brothers, M J (Joann) VanHoose and David Lee (Joyce) VanHoose, all of Nippa, Kentucky; one sister, Bonita (Danny Joe) Daniels of East Point, Kentucky; one granddaughter, Amy Colin; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2024 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Jonathan Picklesimer officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens, Louisa, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2024.
