A Paintsville man was arrested after police said he tried to pull a girl off of her bike in an attempt to take it.

Brian Bunker, 27, was charged with fourth-degree assault, menacing, disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Police said the incident happened on March 12. They said Bunker left the scene before they arrived, but a witness and the girl gave the officer a description of him. The officer located Bunker on Broadway Street, where he was arrested. Bunker was taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
