Kentucky State Police is investigating a deadly crash that happened Saturday night in Breathitt County. Police said the crash happened on Highland Drive, in Jackson, where they found an ATV that went over an embankment. Police said Logan Spencer, 23, of Lexington, was operating the ATV when he lost control. Alexis Smith, 22, of Lexington, was thrown from the ATV. Police said Smith was pronounced dead at the scene. Spencer was arrested and charged with one count of vehicular homicide and one count of operating a motor vehicle under the influence.

He was taken to the Kentucky River Regional Jail.
