Detectives with the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch confirmed they arrested a Floyd County man on charges related to a child sexual abuse material investigation. Matthew D. Williams, 38, was found and interviewed after an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation. The investigation began after officials discovered that the suspect was uploading sexually explicit photos of minors to an online social media account. Detectives searched Williams’ home in the Printer community on Tuesday. Williams is currently charged with seven counts of possession matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance and seven counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance. The charges are Class-C felonies punishable by five to ten years in prison.
