Betty Joe Montgomery, age 81 of Ivel, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, Kentucky. She was born December 6, 1942 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late George Washington Adkins & Nancy Louise Layne Adkins. She was the wife of Kenneth E. Montgomery. She was a loving housewife, Mother and Nana. Along with her husband she is survived by her Son: James Trenton Payne of Ivel, Kentucky; Daughter: Katrina Montgomery of Ivel, Kentucky; Grandchildren: Porsha LaSha Payne, Aaliyah Kiana Payne, Jakira Amanda Payne & Jonathan Amillio Montgomery; Great Grandchildren: Anthony, Rylan, Jada, Tayton, Raven, Kambri & Arya; Sister: Florence Wallen of Ivel, Kentucky. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her Brother: Bobby A. Adkins. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 6pm at the funeral home with a service from 6pm-7pm Wednesday night to honor Betty and will continue all day Thursday, April 18, 2024

Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 at 11am at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky with Spring Deeds & Jot Marsillett

Burial will follow at Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, Kentucky
