NO TICKS

As it warms up and more people spend time outside tick activity is going to be picking up and these things are known to pass along pathogens which can make people sick. There’s Rocky Mountain fever, Lyme disease and red meat fever which concerns a lot of people. But there are some things you can do before you go outside and when you come back in according to Dr. Jonathan Larson, an extension entomologist with UK.

Wearing long sleeves is one suggestion and another from Larson is to tuck your pants into your socks, and he says checking for them after you come indoors is vital as well. Checking knee pits and around your ankles and thin-skinned areas are all good ideas and of course around your hair and ears, and Larson reminds people to check their pets as well.
