Breanna Jean Hall, 24, of Jenkins, was wanted for flagrant nonsupport and Whitesburg Police got a tip Tuesday afternoon that she could be found at a game room adjacent to a pizza place in Whitesburg. Police found her sitting at a game and placed her under arrest, then searched the purse sitting on the game in front of her. When they found nearly 35 grams of meth inside the purse, Hall then said the purse wasn’t hers, but belonged to her friend, Brittany Looney, 35, of Whitesburg, who was sitting next to her. Looney reportedly admitted that the purse belonged to her but said Hall had been using it for the past week. Both women were arrested and charged with meth trafficking. They are each being held in the Letcher County Jail on $35,000 cash bonds.

Do you know where to go, or what to do in the event a tornado touches down in our region? At one point I remember hearing that “it can’t happen here, too many mountains and valley’s etc., that was before March of 2012 when catastrophe happened in our back yards costing several people their lives. We were on the air that day with every breath trying to direct people to what ever form of safe we could find, and we don’t want to wait until tragedy happens again. So WQHY FM and WDOC 1310 is begin proactive in information that can save the lives of you and those you love. First off, let’s know the difference between a watch and a warning. A Watch means conditions are favorable and it could occur at any given moment, a warning means it is imminent or is happening at the moment. In the event of learning of a tornado warning be prepared to seek shelter in the lowest possible level of shelter away from windows and surround yourself with pillows and blankets and items that can protect you from debris. A watch means we’re asking everyone to be on the highest alert and to be prepared to seek that shelter within a moment’s notice. Items don’t matter in a situation like this, lives do, they’re all that matters. Don’t go back seeking possessions, keep as safe as possible, and remember the eye of the storm can be volatile, that’s the calm before the rage continues, simply wait for further instructions and information before proceeding. You can find more information online at Q95 dot net, we want you and those you love listening for a long and healthy lifetime.
