Two Floyd County Schools students are being thanked for going the extra mile in helping a family in distress this past weekend. According to a press release from Floyd County schools, a family, who wishes to remain anonymous, were enjoying a ride on their side-by-side during this past weekend. The father, who was accompanied by his wife and young child, said they veered off the road and down a hill. He said he found himself in need of help, to remove his family from a bad situation. Within minutes, two individuals arrived at the scene and began offering assistance. The two individuals were not paramedics, law enforcement or anything of the sort; these two individuals were Floyd Central High School students Greyson Crum and Gabe Little. The father says the boys need to be recognized for their “amazing willingness” to help. They stayed with this family until help got to the scene, even helping the family get their machine back on track.
