Inez, Ky – Martin County officials say residents who are not subscribed to garbage collection, not paying their trash bills, or allowing trash to pile up on their property can expect to be cited. The issue came up at the Solid Waste Board’s February 4 meeting, where members said haulers and the county’s code enforcement officer have already mailed warning letters, and the next step is issuing citations if people don’t comply. Recent notices of violation went to residents in Beauty and Inez for trash accumulation, with 14 days to clean up. Officials also reminded residents they can drop off waste tires on weekdays at the county road and bridge department on Tomahawk Road in Inez.
