Troopers at Post 9 in Pikeville say it happened around 6:37 Thursday evening on Kentucky Route 1428 in the Prestonsburg community. Louisa, Ky – A Lawrence County man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for a violent domestic assault on Christmas Eve 2024. Forty‑nine‑year‑old Ronnie Booth was convicted of first‑degree domestic violence assault, first‑degree unlawful imprisonment, and third‑degree terroristic threatening after prosecutors said he attacked his sister with a glass candle, breaking her nose, held her against her will, and threatened her with a machete.
