State Representative Rick Rand issued a statement responding to reports that $4.6 million in SEEK dollars requested by schools is now set to be provided after a months-long delay by Governor Bevin’s administration. Rand said he is glad the Governor now fully agrees with the House position. The representative does still have questions about what delayed the release of funds after “repeated requests that date back to February.” There is some concern that the delay of the release, which is now three months into the current fiscal year, could negatively impact available funding for schools going forward. Rand said “the House will do all we can to ensure our schools get every SEEK dollar they need and deserve.”
