Travelers through Catlettsburg have begun experiencing some traffic changes this week. The changes effect motorists using US 23 near the I-64 interchange in Boyd County due to construction alongside the highway by Marathon Petroleum Corporation contractors. Some changes are:

• From 7am to 5:30pm Monday through Saturday, the right lane of northbound US 23 will be closed between the I-64 overpass and KY 538.
• Interstate ramp traffic westbound I-64 to northbound US 23 must yield to US 23 traffic before merging.
• Occasional blasting will stop US 23 traffic briefly.

The work and traffic changes are expected to last approximately 30 days.  Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions.
