Paintsville Utilities will be performing smoke tests on lines in the Richmond Village area this afternoon, October 6, 2016, beginning around 1:00pm. Smoke may be seen coming from sewer vents on homes, around foundations, from gutter downspouts, out of the ground, or in the event of faulty plumbing, possibly even from household drains or fixtures. Testing should last less than one hour.

The specially designed smoke for this purpose is non-toxic.
