Beashear, Women’s Tennis Association CEO Announce Refunds

Attorney General Andy Beshear and Women’s Tennis Association CEO Steve Simon announced Wednesday that’s refunds will be made available for tickets purchased for the cancelled 2016 Louisville International Open. Over $460,000 in refunds will be given to individuals. The tournament organizer cancelled the tournament and closed its doors, leading to an investigation by the Attorney General’s office. While under no legal obligation to do so, the WTA worked with Beshear’s office to find a solution to reimburse fans who had purchased tickets. Those who purchased tickets through IMG Tickets will receive a direct deposit refund, while those who didn’t will receive a letter with a claim form to be returned for a full refund.
