Beshear, Catholic Charities to Receive Grant for Fight Against Human Trafficking

On Friday, October 14, Attorney General Andy Beshear and Catholic Charities of Louisville announced $1.5 million will be coming to Kentucky to support the fight against human trafficking. Kentucky is one of five states to receive an enhanced collaborative model grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, which is a first for the Attorney General’s Office and Catholic Charities. Dispersal of funds will be over three years to intensify the work being done to hold offenders accountable and support human trafficking victims of all ages. Beshear said he was proud his office and Catholic Charities were selected to receive the grant and that it was going to be help bring “real solutions to the fight against human trafficking.
