Several counties have issued burn bans. Pursuant to the Kentucky Division of Forestry’s request, based on current and predicted weather conditions, and the extreme danger of forest fires, County Judge Executives for Floyd, Pike, Johnson, Harlan, Whitley, Monroe, McCreary, Owsley, and Laurel have issued bans on all outdoor burning until further notice. Citizens are urged to comply to perverse the forestry as well as uphold the safety of others.
