The Kentucky College of Optometry and the University of Pikeville information technology department were announced as the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s winners of the Association of Independent Kentucky Colleges and Universities Innovational Educational Technology Award for KYCO’s “Interactive 3-D Virtual Science Initiative.” Andrew Buzzelli, O.D., M.S., vice president for optometric education and founding dean of KY College of Optometry, said the award recognizes the school is differentiated not only by the optometry curriculum of the future, but also the educational technology of the future.
