A 10 car accident Wednesday morning on the Mountain Parkway near the Red River Gorge exit between Campton and Slade has left at least one person dead. 11 ambulances from surrounding counties were called to the scene, with a reported 20 people injured. Due to numerous wildfires being fought across the state, heavy smoke has made its way into the area, limiting visibility for drivers. Both lanes of the Parkway are shut down while emergency responders are on the scene. Detours have been set up for drivers heading west at Exit 40 and drivers heading east can take Exit 33.
