Recanvasses of vote totals will be conducted in three races for seats in Kentucky’s House of Representatives, Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes announced. She said county boards of elections have been notified of the recanvassing and reminded them of the laws and procedures to be followed. Written requests for recanvassing were received from  Republican Denver Butler in the 38^th House District, Democrat Linda Belcher in the 49^th House District, and Republican Chad Shannon of the 87^th House District. County boards of election will convene at 9am Thursday to recheck and recanvass voting machines, per Kentucky law, to verify the accuracy of the vote totals.
