On November 16, Kentucky State Police Trooper Steve Walker was patrolling US HWY 25 in Laurel County when he observed a 2008 Honda Civic run a stop sign at the intersection of Glenview road. Trooper Walker activated his lights in an attempt to stop the vehicle but the driver, Travis G. Brock, 19, of Pineville, accelerated and refused to stop. A high speed pursuit occurred, and Brock swerved into Troopers in an attempt to run them off the road. The pursuit ended when Brock lost control of his vehicle and struck a utility pole. He was treated for minor injuries, arrested, and charged with 1^st degree evading police, three counts of wanton endangerment, 1^st degree assault, and several other traffic charges.
