FEMA Authorizes Complex Fire Management Assistance Grant to Help Offset Costs of Battling Kentucky Wildfires

Kentucky Emergency Management announced Monday that FEMA Regional Administrator (IV) has authorized a Complex Fire Management Assistance Grant for the Commonwealth. The grant makes FEMA funding available to reimburse 75 percent of the eligible firefighting costs for managing, mitigating and controlling eligible fires in Harlan, Knox, Letcher, and Pike counties. Eligible costs can include labor, equipment and supplies used for fighting the fire and costs for emergency work such as evacuations, sheltering, police barricading and traffic control.
