The Kentucky Arts Council is now accepting applications for the Al Smith Fellowship and Emerging Artist Award until February 15. In this round of grant funding, the arts council is accepting work from visual and media artists. Visual arts include 2D and 3D work and media arts include audio, video, film and technology/experimental art. The Al Smith Individual Fellowship program is named for journalist and arts advocate Al Smith, supporting professional Kentucky artists in creating high quality work and recognizing creative excellence. The Emerging Artist Award recognizes these same qualities in early career artists. Applications can be found at artscouncil.ky.gov.
