Big Sandy Community and Technical College will host a program to commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Tuesday, January 17, at noon in the Gearheart Auditorium on the Prestonsburg campus. The event is free and open to the public. Dr. Tom Matijasic, professor of history, will speak on King’s contributions to civil rights and freedom.
