Johnson County Sheriff’s Office Reports Decrease in Burglaries for 2016

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office has released their annual report for 2016. During 2016, the sheriff’s office received over 4,200 calls, excluding personal contacts and community relations presentations and contacts. They reported a decline in burglaries and a high recovery rate in stolen items, thanks to the vigilance of citizens in the county. The statement released said individuals providing information to the office is the key component to dealing with criminal activity in Johnson County. The Sheriff’s office also wrote that they have made it their priority to aggressively seek indictments with undisputable evidence and well explained case reports.
