A Harlan County Detention Center inmate who walked off work release is now back in custody. Derrick Tindell walked off his work detail at Mack’s Mission in the Pine Mountain area of Harlan around 12:30pm January 20, when he was asked to use the restroom. Tindell was reported missing after staff searched for him for about five minutes. The Harlan County Sheriff’s Office reported he had been captured around 10:45am on January 21.
