Floyd County Superintendent Henry Webb announced the results of the District 85 and 86 Governor’s Cup competitions for the middle school academic teams. Webb congratulated Allen Central Middle and South Floyd Middle for placing 1st overall in their districts and to the students who placed in the individual categories. In District 85, Adams Middle placed 2nd overall with Allen Elementary in 3rd. In District 86, Stumbo Elementary placed 2nd, followed by Betsy Layne Elementary in 3rd. The Future Problem Solving Composition will be Monday, January 30th, and Written Assessment and Quick Recall will be Saturday, February 4th at the Piarist School.
