Due to low attendance from illness, Perry County Schools will be closed Friday, January 27 and Monday, January 30. Superintendent Jonathan Jett wrote in a statement on the Perry County Schools Facebook page that the district attendance was being monitored this week and isolated cases of low attendance were recorded in some schools. All extra-curricular activities will be cancelled as well during this time, except for contractually obligated events. During this time, custodial staff will be on hand to thorough clean the schools and disinfect all buildings. Superintendent Jett hopes this time will allow students and staff to recover from their illnesses and prevent further spread.
