A man was arrested in Bell County on Saturday, January 28, 2017, after Deputy Nick Capps ran a vehicle tag check. The tag on a white Maxima was discovered to belong to another vehicle. The driver, Joshua Barnett, 33, was also in possession of over $1600 in cash. A search of his vehicle resulted in the discovery of syringes and a loaded 9mm pistol. A baggy of crystal methamphetamine was also found in an area Barnett had been moving around. Joshua Barnett was arrested and charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, drug paraphernalia, trafficking, and resisting arrest.
