Beginning today, February 6, repair crews will replace joints and perform other work on the KY 1274 bridge over the Licking River at the Rowan-Menifee county line. The work will reduce the bridge to one-lane for at least the next two weeks, with temporary signals controlling traffic across the bridge in both directions. Motorists should expect delays. The work is part of a $1.2 million project that includes painting the KY 1274 bridge’s steel beams, and the steel structure of two Carter County bridges. Painting is expected to take place April through August, also reducing bridges to one lane for about a month each.
