The Hazard Police Department has received a report of a phone scam. The report said a local resident received a call informing them they had won a cash prize. The caller then said the person would need to call back with Western Union or credit card information in order to claim the prize. The call came from a 206 area code. At this time, Hazard PD is not sure if this is an isolated incident  or someone targeting people in the area, and reminds residents to never get out personal or financial information to anyone soliciting by phone.
