Beginning Monday, February 27, there will be left turn lane construction on US 460 at mile points 7.723 and 7.804 in Johnson County. The site is part of the intersection of US 460 and KY 40 and the entrance ramps off US 460 onto US 23 in Paintsville. Highway District 12 Engineering Technician Mike Blevins said the work will take several weeks and will slow traffic in the area. Signs will direct motorists how to make the left turn while construction is under way. The turn lane leading to US 23 north and KY 40 west will be closed. Blevins estimates the project will be completed near the end of March.
