Two Arrested for Drug Possession in Laurel County

Two men were arrested on drug charges in Laurel County following an investigation of a suspicious vehicle parked in a business parking lot off West Cumberland Gap Parkway after 1am February 28. Deputy Daniel Grigsby with his K-9 “Edge” located suspected methamphetamine and heroin. Michael Hamblin, 48, of Barbourville, was charged with possession of controlled substance. Larry Hembree, age 34, of Lexington, was also charged with possession and a bench warrant for failure to appear in court. Both were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
