A crash in London resulted in an arrest on Saturday, March 4, after the driver fled the scene. Robert Smith, 42 of Gray Lane, struck a utility pole and fled the scene Saturday afternoon. Deputy Rick Cloyd located Smith approximately half a mile from the crash site and determined he was under the influence. Smith was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence-second offense, failure to wear seatbelt, and leaving the scene of an accident. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
