Governor Matt Bevin is currently in Japan leading an economic development and trade mission. He was joined by other state and local officials to meet with executives, strengthen ties, and encourage international investment and job creation in Kentucky. Bevin said the mission will focus on meeting executives from corporations leading the world in engineering, manufacturing, and technology. The governor added that he wants to ensure global firms look to Kentucky first when planning a new or expansion project in the U.S. Governor Bevin will return Tuesday, March 7, with Economic Development Cabinet Secretary Terry Gill returning with other delegation members later in the week.
