Floyd County Superintendent Dr. Henry Webb announced Wednesday, March 8, that Dr. Jeff Shannon, career and technical education instructor, has been appointed to the Kentucky Technical Education Personnel Board. The Kentucky Technical Education Personnel Board consists of five voting members who are appointed by the governor to conduct personnel appeals from employees in the Office of Career and Technical Education. Dr. Webb and the board congratulated Dr. Shannon on his appointment, saying he will be a great representative of Area Technology Centers and Floyd County Schools. Dr. Shannon is an instructor for Floyd County Schools Area Technology Center and teaches Information Technology.
