A traffic stop in Eastern on March 12 resulted in a drug trafficking arrest. On Sunday night, Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputies Thacker and Szymchack stopped a vehicle in the Eastern Community for traffic violations. After the stop, several bags of marijuana were discovered, along with other items inside the vehicle. The driver, 20-year-old Harvey C. Giese of Minnie, KY was charged with trafficking in marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and other charges.
