The University of Pikeville Film & Media Arts program is holding the third annual film festival on Friday, April 7, and Saturday, April 8, in Booth Auditorium. The festival is hosted by students in the university’s film festival class. More than 50 films from across the country by professionals and college, high and middle school students will be screened. The festival will begin at 10am Friday and films will be shown throughout the day, with student films and a late night scary segment. Saturday festivities will include a showcase of documentaries, closing with UPIKE-produced documentary “The Breaks: Centuries of Struggle.” Admission is free and a complete schedule can be found at fmafest.org.
