Ally Davis, former student and member of the Prestonsburg High School Honor Choir, earned a distinguished rating in the Kentucky Music Educators Association State Solo and Ensemble Festival on May 20. The competition was held at the University of Louisville’s School of Music. This was Davis’s third consecutive year earning the Distinguished rating. She was one of five to advance from the region to the state level, where she sand “Standchen” in German by composer Franz Schubert with accompanist Janean Freeman on piano.
