In an effort to better serve students and conserve energy, Big Sandy Community and Technical College has announced extended summer hours for the months of June and July. All college campuses of Prestonsburg, Pikeville, Mayo and Hager Hill will be open from 7:30am to 6pm Monday through Wednesday and from 7:30am to 5:30pm on Thursdays. All campuses will be closed on Friday to conserve energy. Jimmy Wright, dean of student services, said the extended hours will allow the college to better serve their students, especially those who work and have families. Wright said all of the college’s extended services will be available during extended hours.
