Former Senator Jim Bunning passed away Friday, May 26. Bunning was a Hall of Fame pitched for Major League Baseball, where he played for 17 years, before retiring in 1971. He served as a member of the US House of Representatives for Kentucky’s 4th District from 1987 to 1999, before serving in the US Senate until 2011, when he was succeeded by Rand Paul. Bunning had suffered a stroke in October 2016. He was 85 years old.
