Three Arrested in Knox County after Follow-Up Investigation

On May 22, Knox County Sheriff Deputies conducted a follow-up investigation at a residence on Merida Drive in Flat Lick. Margret Merida, wife of David Scott Merida, who had been arrested on May 18, was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking. A search was conducted on the residence of their son, David C. Merida, where deputies found a small quantity of suspected meth, drug paraphernalia, a vehicle with the VIN number removed, and recovered a highway stop sign and Merida Drive street sign. He was arrested on multiple charges. Tasha Abner was also arrested for a bench warrant and parole violation at the residence. All three were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
