The Louisa Police Department will be holding their Youth Summer Fest on June 10 at the Louisa Senior Citizens Center from 1pm to 4pm. Participants can bring their bicycle to complete the safety course, which has been expanded to include all summer safety tips. Smokey the Bear will also be on hand to teach campfire safety, and Bobber the Water Dog will talk about water safety. Other safety information will be learning first aid, what to do if you find a gun in an unsecured location, and much more. Door prizes and refreshments will be available and those who complete all safety stations will receive a “Safety Certificate”.
