London Police responded to a minivan and motorcycle injury accident on Wednesday. The accident occurred at the intersection of KY 192 and KY 229. It was determined that a 1993 Chevrolet Astro Van, driven by 47-year-old Patricia Hollingsworth of Corbin, was traveling west on KY 192, when it failed to stop at a red light and drove into the path of a motorcycle driven by Christopher Abbot, 44, of Keavy. Abbot and his passenger, Heather Burkhart, 34, of London, were treated at the scene before being flown to UK Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Hollingsworth was determined to be under the influence and was arrested for DUI and two counts of first-degree assault due to the severity of the victims’ injuries.
