On Monday, July 10, the Pound Police Department assisted the Wise County Sheriff’s Office in attempting to serve a warrant of arrest for 29-year-old Jimmy Baker. Baker originally fled on foot into the woods on McFall Fork earlier in the evening. The pursuit lead officers to a marijuana patch. Baker returned to the area close to midnight to get to a getaway car, but was approached by law enforcement, leading to another foot chase before being apprehended. Jimmy Baker was arrested and lodged in the Duffield Regional Jail.
