The City of Prestonsburg Police Department will be conducting Traffic Safety Checkpoints on various dates and times at designated traffic safety checkpoint locations. Locations include the Lancer Four Way, US 23 South Bound off ramp to Kentucky 114, West Graham and Front Avenue intersection near the Town Branch bridge, Porter Street intersection of Green Acres Drive, Cliff Road near the Floyd County Rescue Squad, Main Street and Harkins Avenue in West Prestonsburg, and the Arnold Avenue and Graham Street Intersection. The purpose of these checkpoints is to ensure the overall safety of motorists and detect and deter intoxicated drivers.
