Pavement rehabilitation on KY 80 in Floyd County began September 11. The work zone starts at the Knott/Floyd County line and extends 2.5 miles east toward Martin, from mile point zero to mile point 2.5. The work is expected to take two weeks, depending on weather. The inside passing lanes in each direction will be closed to traffic, as they, along with the turn lanes and median, will be milled and paved. Following this, traffic will be diverted and move to the outside lanes. Motorists will have access to turn lanes at all times, directed by barrel alignment.
