The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has been receiving complaints about a person identifying himself as Deputy Jason or Jesse Cook. The unknown person is claiming to be with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and is calling about legal matters which need to be resolved immediately. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has issued a notice that these calls are a scam and the person does not represent the sheriff’s department. If you receive one of these calls, hang up, do not pay upfront, wire money or send reloadable credit or gift cards, and do not give out any personal information.
