Kentucky Unemployment Rate Decreases in December 2017

Kentucky’s seasonally adjusted preliminary December unemployment rate was 4.4 percent, according to the Kentucky Center for Education and Workforce Statistics. The unemployment rate for December 2017 was down from the revised 4.7 percent reported for November 2017. The jobless rate was also down -.4 percentage points from the 4.8 percent recorded for the state in December 2016. The U.S. seasonally adjusted jobless rate for December 2017 was unchanged from the 4.1 percent reported for November 2017, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
