Losing has been a hard habit to break for the Harrison County Thorobreds. Wide receiver Jovon Williams has been frustrated.

“We didn’t win any games and it hurt really and honestly I forgot how it feels to win, but this year we’re going to change everything around. Coach Furnish is changing everything around.”

Neil Furnish takes over a Harrison County football program that went 0-10 last season. After spending the last few years on the Bourbon County staff, he will look to turn around a once proud program and his alma mater.

“Talent wise I’ll put them up against anybody,” says Furnish who takes the reigns for his first head coaching job. “You know it’s just going to be the commitment and the accountability and the buy in and that kind of thing. When something goes wrong how are you going to react?”
